aftermarket dual exhaust?!?
It seems like most aftermarket dual exhaust for the S2K have 60mm piping, like HKS. That is the same as stock, right. So other than the mufflers being a straight through design, what is the point. Does an $1,100 HKS exhaust make a difference in HP or TQ, or is it at thousand dollar sound changer? If it does not change the HP or TQ, why not just get some universal mufflers for $250-300 a piece and weld that on? Do these companies do something special with the piping to make it worth it? Forgive my question if it sounds stupid, but I just became a new S2K owner.

Do a search. You will get a whole lot of info on every exhaust available. But the answer to your question, is pretty much, no aftermarket exhaust's hardly get a gain in hp and tq. But they do save you quite a bit of weight (almost as much as 50lbs). Some aftermarket exhausts have been dyno'ed to show a gain in hp (mostly single exit ones), but the main reasons are weight savings, looks, and sound.

What really adds weight is the mufflers. So, it looks like staying with the stock pipes and adding two HKS titanium mufflers will save you weight and maybe pick up some hp, sweet sound and sve some $$ .

I think the lightest exhaust I've heard of is just shy of 10 lbs., and the stock exhaust is around 50 lbs., so there is probably only 40 lbs. that can be saved by going with an ear drum breaker.
