After-market ECU for F22C
#11
I can confirm that there is no replacement "chip" for the S2000 ECU. Several manufacturers re-engineer the mother board of the ECU and provide them as P'n'P replacements. The word 'chip' is often used but is incorrect.

Most new Honda's have flashable ECUs (RSX, latest Acccord, TL, etc...) but the S2000 does not. Hondata has both reflashes that work with the stock RSX ecu, and a reworked stock ECU called the K-Pro that has additional features. ODB1 ECU's actually had chips that you swapped.

Is any one running the J's ECU on a F22C? How's it working out?
If I get a AEM ECU what does it take to properly "program" it?
Pros vs Cons between AEM and J's???
Thanks guys,
Joe

Heck, I'd just like to know what the revised VTEC point and redline are.

Church Automotive Testing is THE place. Don't go anywhere else. Shawn (ultimate lurker) has more experience with the S2000 than anyone else.

Thanks Jeremy, et al,
I've already tuned 3 F22C S2000s with the AEM EMS and a few more are on the way with FI, etc. In fact, David Karner's race car which I am heavily involved on, uses a blueprinted F22C with an AEM EMS. It saw combat for the first time 10 days ago and won its first two races from the pole. The motor ran beautifully without a hiccup. It uses a new AEM 1052U unit with the UEGO sensor. The 1052 is my recomendation if you're buying a new AEM as they seem to have made some changes that improve the overall performance of the ECU (easier starting - David's car was always a hard starter with the EMS, better part throttle, deceleration fueling, etc.)

You will not find a better tuner in CA or anywhere else who has as much experience with the S2000.
