After the clutch install, chatter is worse
I tackled changing out my own clutch over the weekend. I had thought I was decent with a wrench, near had a problem with a B series clutch job or even FD change. But dang, this kicked my ass.
Started 5pm Friday to 3am = trans on floor
Saturday 10:30 to 8pm = back in car, running smooth
ugh.
Besides wasting too much of our short weekends, the chatter is now crazy loud. I feel like I'm driving a tractor when it idles down.
Anyways, I added Competition Clutch and flywheel stage 2 package because my stocker was toast. The clutch pressure is ridicously easy but the travel now is maybe 2 to 3" max. And it's either on or off, no riding in between. Can the travel be adjusted? I'm just not getting use to it being so low.
I guess it's faster, not but much though. It sure is louder. Is this common? I had heard some people get lucky and the chatter leaves. Mine didn't =/
TIA.

Buzzing sound under decel is fairly typical for some Competition clutches. The more race oriented the clutch is the more on/off release feel they have.
Sounds like you got something more aggressive than you bargained for.
