Default After changing brake pads, brake light is on

I replaced my brake pads the other day, and on the rears, i had to bleed the fluid out and turn that hydraulic bar thing in order to fit the calliper over my new thicker pads. Now when driving, for some reason my brake light is on, almost as if my emergency brake is pulled, but its not. Any idea what i did wrong, and how to fix it, and how much???? Thanks

There was a post about this a while back. It seems that it might be related to the float in the brake fluid reservoir that sense the fluid level. Sometimes it gets stuck during the course of the fluid level changes in a brake job. I believe the remedy was to unplug and then re-plug the brake fluid level sensor harness.

Try a search...it wasn't that long ago that someone posted the fix (if you have the same problem).

Thanks for the info LudeDude, however, when I was driving to school this mornin, I noticed that the light was not on. I guess it may have been maybe an air bubble or something that got in the lines while I was bleeding somehow. Anyway, problem is resolved. Thanks again

There is a float in the brake fluid reservoir. If it drops low enough, the light comes on (low fluid warning). If it goes all the way to the bottom, it can get stuck there. Maybe your driving around shook it loose.
