Curious, did you dyno the two filters back to back?
yes, with my butt.

Thanks everyone ,
I think i'll be staying with the AEM (mainly for sound reasons), i already chopped the stock box (the middle piece) and painted it & prepped it to go back in ,was going to do the rising sun on it with plastidip, but i guess its going back in the box now xD
I wish for all of you to have a fantastic day now

Was hoping you'd put the modded box in and tell us how it compares to the AEM intake

OOOOH! Nice idea! How would you do the rising sun decal on the box - using a stencil or can you buy the pre-cut decals as well? How do you use the plasti-dip method?

The stock air filter puts no restriction on the air the engine needs. I put 90k miles on my filter and had no added restriction.
I changed the filter out due to time(6 years) not because of ANY added restriction

I'm running the stock air box with the snorkel and a custom intake aluminum pipe on top of a velocity stack and filter wear cover. Helps protect the air filter more since the snorkel picks up some debris. Also made a opening, 2.5-3 inch on the left side of the air box and put a pipe to the passenger side headlight. Felt it was needed since that snorkel seems a bit restrictive at the bend. So far works great and don't need to be worried about any water issues. Havent done a dyno for before and after but at least I know I'm getting cold air, especially on the highway with the snorkel.
