what kind of filter do the AEM intakes use? K&N? I'm concerned about both hydrolock issues as well as just bad filtering by the K&N air filter...can anyone elaborate on this?

AEM manufactures their own filters now... if you're gonna worry about 'bad filtering' by a filter, then stick with the OEM airbox.

I replaced my filter early on with the one Tim is selling...no need for oil, just blast it with air form inside to clean.

Sorry, dude. You mentioned that the prod version would take about 3 weeks according to AEM. That was about 5 weeks ago. I thought I WAS being patient!
