AEM V2 news
Just a note, AEM is wrapping up development of their V2 intake. I lent them my car a couple of weeks ago to mess with. At the time, my car was stock with 41k miles and an AEM V1.
I should be getting back the car tomorrow and will, of course, perform my own dyno tests. But the preliminary news coming out of AEM is good. They report that the characteristic hump of the V1 which occurs around 3500-4000 rpm is diminished (almost eliminated), but in return there are gains everywhere after that point, including substantial gains in the weakest point of our torque curve, the 5000 rpm area. The magnitude appears quite substantial, and frankly that's where I had hoped they would make improvements in broadening the torque curve. More top end would be nice, but its that 5k-6k range that sucks when pulling out of slow corners on track.
I'll put the car on the dyno before this weekend and see what happens, and I'll be keeping whichever intake works best. Fingers crossed. Oh, and this is still a cold air intake, unlike the V2 on the RSX which has created some heartburn among the RSX people. Apparently, it is a tight fit though with the bigger tubing.

thats weird, a friend of mine already has a V2 intake on his s2k. he's had it for like three months already. i thought that it was weird that he had one before i heard of any news on the board about it. must be a prototype or something, but it has a CARB sticker on it already.

i don't have any pics of it, but i saw it my own eyes. it was the grey color tubing with the V2 sticker. it also had the outter tubing that goes around the other tubing. it looked legit to me. but i found it weird because i was pretty sure they werent out yet. you can talk to him and ask him for pics. i believe his screen name is s2kjohnny
