Yeah mine does not rub at all....the hoover sound is normal. I think something else set my check engine light on. Two many people have installed with no problems. I got my warning light
about 24 hours later............who knows what caused it. Going to stop by the dealer next week....I really doubt its the cai faults. Who knows i've done so many mods on so many cars the "cel"
is just part of the territory. I'll take it in and they will fix it....they always have before...anyone have an aem on a 2002 with no problems...please chime in! Obviously the 2000 and 2001 have no problems. Wonder if its a 2002 thing. Just curious

It's great that you can give us this info. I looked at this web site on your other thread and I can't figure out how to find anything. Do you read Japanese?

just installed mine. everything was pretty straight forward. the low-harmonic hum is annoying, but that's my only gripe. also my bypass valve didnt' fit. do i need to trim the tubing?

i don't think i'll use the bypass. the filter is shielded enough from normal wet weather it should be fine. this region of the states has never flooded to the level of being dangerous to my knowledge. hopefully that doesn't change.

It may be coincedance, but check that your gas cap is all the way on! That has caused my CEL to come on before. Just a suggesetion since you seem frustrated. I would laugh it was that though!
