AEM CAI gives engine warning light
Hi folks,
I just installed the ARM CAI and it looks just perfect!!!
I made a lot of pictures so I might post a small how-to with some remarks as to the fitting which is a bit different on European cars as I had to make some modifications to make everything fit.
But now I have a small question for you guys/girls, after starting the engine the warning light came on and is now permanently lit.
I have checked and re-checked to make sure all pipeing has been rooted properly before starting the engine.
Now during the installation I did loose some cooling fluid when replacing the hoses, it wasn't much and doesn't have any influence on the fluid level, but some air will have gotten in, could this be it?
I also removed all the vacume pipeing from the air-solenoid, which produced a small hiss, could it be this?
And finally can it do any harm?
Thanks for yout input.

It is NOT that little bit of coolant you lost. It most likely IS the vacuum lines. They must all be intact and routed correctly or you will get that Check Engine Light. Here is a thread I did a while for you to check the routing of the lines, the correct orientation for the one way check valve and for resetting the ECU afterwards:

@xviper,
Thanks for the info, I checked my hooses again and they are OK. So I pulled fuse-3 and all is well now.
BTW. I think I know why the light came on in the first place. When I disconnected the last hose which goes from the canister to the valve assembly there was a noticable hissing sound as if a air was rushing in. I believe this might have triggered the light when I started the engine as there wasn't a vacuum anymore.
