By using studs, you only have wear/tear on the head stud (instead of the head itself, if you do frequent head swaps. They're almost staple on race cars, where you tear down engines on a very regular basis.

Because they're studs, the pressure is on the stud, not the head. If you strip it, big deal. Vice or double nut the stripped stud and put another. You don't even have to pull off the head (sometimes).

I think you meant to say you wear the block threads instead of the stud thread....
