adjusting clutch
Hey I am trying to put my pedal into spec. I got the stroke into spec but how do I get the height into spec. seems like I can only put it to about 7inches. right now i have the pedal adjusted to a very low height. is this damaging? or is getting the stroke in spec more important? also how do i get to the nut on the clutch interlock switch like it says in 12-4 of the helms? do i really need to adjust it just to adjust the clutch?

If you're clutch pedal is too low then you'll be losing travel in your master cylinder which means that you'll never have the full pressure exerted by the pressure plate onto the clutch disc. Your clutch will slip sooner than it would if it was properly adjusted.

First: remove or untighten #1 until it no longer touches the pedal.
Adjust stroke & pedal position with the rod, loosen #3 first.
Then turn #1 until it touches the pedal again and add 3/4 turn.
You can feel 2 stages of play: mechanical play in the linkage and hydraulical play.
Hydraulical play is crucial.
The hydraulical system needs to be bled properly first.

i just replaced my clutch pressure plate and flywheel last week with oem/exedy stuff and then when i first started the car the engagement point was right off the floor, then it slowly crept up over time. It feels pretty high now and I am hoping that I wouldnt need to replace the clutch disc anytime soon.

i think i might have to replace the clutch disc soon =( doesnt feel right because the engagement point is basically 1 inch after i pass the clutch pedal free play. so right when i step on the clutch, it will disengage.
