Yes you can run premium pump gas.

This will answer any other questions about superchargers.

If you dont see what your looking for there than please ask.

I just installed a Vortech and it just changes the S2K to another level of fun The result was my factory clutch started slipping within the first day of use I just ordered a ACT street clutch and pressure plate and a Comptech lightweight flywheel They will be installed in about 10 days from now Break in will take about 500 miles but then I can get the power to the ground

thank you guys for helping.

which modifications would I need to do to make sure engine reliabilty wont be compromised. I know that a good install is the most important and good synthitic oil would be optimal. anythig else? I assume some dyno tuning for the stock ecu could help (especially with better gas mileage).

I think the problem here is that these questions have been asked and answered so many times here that most people are bored with answering them again. You might find out a lot of stuff by using the "search". A few of the critical issues have been touched upon here.

The above statement kinda shows that you need to do more reading on the subject before asking the BIGGER questions. First of all, the stock ECU cannot be "tuned". And the fact that you want "better gas mileage" but still want to add another 100 whp means you don't really understand the concept.

Actually, it is you who is incorrect. But I dont blame you, I wasnt specific enough.

I definitely understand the equation: more power= more fuel.
I wont buy a supercharger to get better gas mileage.

What I meant is, I would get the ECU (but an aftermarket one is really required) tuned leaner since the supercharger causes the fuel system to run rich.

Cars fitted with the Vortech SC tend to run lean not rich.

On the 2004 Vortech kit they added an additonal injector on the power cooler for this. There are a number of other changes in the 2004 kit such as smaller pully, and different electronics.

Please note the terms and sentence structure that you used. Based on this, I was not incorrect. We can only answer based on what you type. Good luck on your project. I'm done here.
