I agree, I have the Toda flywheel which is one of the lightest there is for our cars, and it doesn't stall. It does take a little geting used to and driving adjustment to drive it normally, but once you do its fine. Don't let the mechanic push you around, its probably the install.

Is it easy to get the car in gear (any gear) with the engine off?

The FW, OEM disk and PP are supposed to work ok as a set?

Its either your clutch hydraulics => trapped air, low level, ect => resulting in the clutch not fully disengaging.
Flush and properly bleed the system.

It may be too much play in the clutch pedal / master cylinder linkage but you really need to do some research to adjust it properly.

Or.. the clutch disk splines weren't cleaned and lightly greased with EP grease during clutch install making the disk "kinda stuck" on the primairy shaft, resulting in your problems.
With the engine running and not moving, e-brake off, select first.
If thats hard to do, is it also hard to do a second time right after the first time?
(so go to neutral and select first again, clutch still disengaged)

let us know what happens.
With the engine off its easy to get in gear.

With the car moving it shifts perfectly with no issues only whrn it comes to a stop.

Its only when I put the car in gear after a dead stop that it does that as soon a I get in tear with the clutch pushed down it goes into all gears quite easily.

As far as the mechanic goes hes been working on my acuras and hindas for 3+ years with no problems.

Im really baffled here.

Honda/acura experience is useless on the s2k. The car is different in every way.

Do this test:

Engine running, push in clutch, shift into first.

Shift back into N, release clutch.

Repeat 4 or 5 times, see if you can consistenly shift easily into first. See if the car creeps slightly foward when doing so as well.

Easy shifting when car off/tough shifting when running=dragging clutch disc.

Could be:
- rust on splines
- incomplete disengagement due to air or clutch rod adjustment
- burr on the spline of the disc or input shaft
- improper install.

Its gotta be the second or last one, the clutch kit was new from hardtopguy, so i doubt there was any rust or debris on it.

Thanks alot though Billman and everyone who pitched in, uve been great, thanks again.

I guess she'll be parked till I take her in to the mechanic again.
