ACT Clutch problem
2 days after installing an ACT HD pressure plate and stock disc, the piston in the clutch slave cylinder came out, leaking out all the fluid and rendering the car undrivable. Before all of this happened, the car drove fine, the only difference being increased pedal effort which I was expecting anyway. I'm just curious If anyone else running an ACT clutch has had similar problems. TIA

Sounds like an installation problem. Was the slave cylinder properly bolted down and the piston full seated. I blew out a slave cylider once only because the dealership failed to tighten the bolts.

The slave was properly bolted down, I just came out from under the car unbolting it. The piston was cocked in the bore and the dust boot torn. I know of some people around here that have used clutchmaster clutches and had problems with the slave cylinders not holding the increased pressure. I was wondering if any other ACT users had similar problems.

Your description just may be the case. I had the same problem with on my 95 Eagle Talon after installing an RPS Turbo Clutch. My local tuning shop recommended that I should have bled the clutch fluid during the clutch installation. They mentioned something about the dirty clutch fluid causing the cylinder failure when subjected to the higher pressures needed by the aftermarket clutch plate.
I ended up replacing both the master and slave cylinder because of my dad's advice. You might as well do them both at the same time because the extra load will be placed on the weaker/older unit.
