Default Accessory Fuse Location?

Hey guys & gals I have '01 and I went to put my new Valentine 1 in the accesorry socket and it won't work. I tried the Valentine in my other car and it works fine. I'm thinking that it's a blown fuse, but I can't find it. Any suggestions which fuse it is under the hood or in the driver foot well? Can it be something else? Thanks!

It could be a number of things that cause the accessory socket not to work. But if you want to check the fuse, it's #9 in the under-dash fuse/relay box (10 amp).

If that's not blown, you should check to see if it's getting power. That way you can figure out if the problem is before or after the fuse.

After the fuse, the yellow/red wire leads to the accessory power socket relay, then to the socket (white/red wire). The accessory power socket relay is somehow connected to the clutch interlock switch So there are lots of things to go wrong.

You did have the ignition ON, right?

Did you check the right fuse? Look at the legend and you'll which one it is:

Why don't you hard wire it to the empty power tap that turns on with ignition?

You can push the end of the V-1 wire down between the plastic panels, at the left lower corner of the windshield, with no dis-assembly whatsoever. It will come down right by the fuse block so you can plug it into the V-1 adapter. Then just tuck it behind the pillar, and hold it in place with pieces of foam from the V-1 package

They suction cup nicely anywhere around the rearview mirror.
