I had a very similar problem on my MY00 to what was initally described in this post, the bucking /loss of power at 1/2 throttle or greater. problem was intermittent but gradually worsened. turned out to be a bad fuel pump in my case, though it took 5 trips to the dealer to get it figured out.. would NEVER happen with mechanic in car. So for anybody who the MAP fix doesn't work, you might want to check the fuel pump as a next step.
