Default AC compressor
2001 S2k with 38000 miles. A/C clutch inoperative. Power ok to solenoid. What is the best course of action? 1. Replace solenoid coil set 2. replace clutch assembly 3. replace entire compressor asm (after reading Forum problems with failed compressors. Is there an on-the-car way to check the action of the solenoid coil?

my chevy had the same problem, tapping the compressor with a hammer fixed it.
