SilvCivOn17s - almost every wire in the engine bay was relocated to the fenders.

s2ksandy - different people take out the abs for different reasons. some of the dedicated street track guys like to feel the braking of the car. they believe it helps them control the car in tighter turns and hard braking situations. i agree with them on that one. then there are dedicated drag cars who just have no need for the abs, in my opinion. the control module is just another thing that can be eliminated to save weight and/or make room for other things like a linelock, catchcan, etc. and as long as you keep the wiring in tact you can always return the module and hardlines and speed sensors back to their homes and have the abs again.

Wont ABS in wet conditions win over non ABS every time? Where did I see this, it was a couple of BMW's, cant remember, road and track/car and driver?

I personally have never, not once, locked up the brakes on the S2k, or my celica. But I'm known to be easy on the brakes. I drove my buddies AP2 at putnam park and hit the brakes pretty hard and the ABS didn't even kick in at all, we were on REO1R's with XP8's all around, I dive bombed the first turn pretty good too :shrugs: .

I can test the ABS anytime I want. Last night for instance I was out in 50 degree weather and fully warmed S02s and putting the pedal to the floor at 45 mph engaged the ABS just a little bit.

It's fun to get on the brakes real hard
