ABS light on and won't turn off

No, most (there are really expensive exceptions) OBDII code readers can't pull ABS, SRS, EPS DTC's.
You would most likely still have to jump DLC and count the blinks. Better still would be your friend with HDS access.

bringing this back since Im in the same boast. drivers rear though. When the comptech diff and 4.56 gear was isntalled, everything was fine. I sold it to a friend and had his stock rear end installed. took out the yellow jacket and soldered the wires back up. Now the abs light is on. Pulled the code and it said the left rear sensor. I dont care about dropping 90 bucks on a new one, I just want to make sure that its 100% the problem.
Im stumped on how the rear end swap would cause it. It wasnt damaged. Could it have been in any of the wiring from where the yellow jacket was?

Did you go through the same review that Spec_Ops did? Check the wires for breaks, chaffing or bare wire; check the sensor to make sure it's still plugged in; check the knotched hub ring to make sure there are no knicks or damaged teeth.

1. Hey, I had a '96 Integra, and once forgot to release the handbrake all the way, it was still slightly engaged. About a half a mile down the road, ABS light came on. I freaked out, then saw the handbrake pulled out partially.
The ABS light went out after I restarted the engine, so the code didn't get saved, I guess. But that solved it for me...
2. A fried of mine had an ABS light go on on his car, and went through hoops trying to solve it. All it was, was the 'teeth' on the half-axle were clogged with some gunk. He cleaned them, and all was well.
Hope this helps.

I eventually confirmed it was my left rear wheel sensor. Just unplug the ABS sensor from which ever wheel you want to check and plug in a voltmeter to read AC current. Then spin the wheel. If you get an AC current, the sensor is working properly

Can someone post a link on how to properly perform the reset. I changed out the bad ABS sensor but the light still won't go out.
Yes, shorting the SCS (ODBII port Pins 9 and 4) will make the ABS light blink out the codes.
