Not sure what you mean. I'm talking about play in the crank in relation to a seized piston. Healthy engines don't have seized crankshafts

i'm thinking the ABS light coming on and the engine siezing are to unrelated problems that happened at the same time.
i know the ABS light will come on if you hold the brakes down for a long time, which he may have. the engine problem sounds like a spun bearing.

Very interesting!!I've seen nothing like that at the dealership.I have seen altenators crap out and set off numerous false abs,srs lights though.As for the engine i would have to say that there was a lubrication issue.You might want to examine the oil filter,though rare i have seen a peice of the oil filter wrap inside the filter causing engine failure without Any warning(no oil warning lamp).Please keep us updated !!!!

if the tires locked up at 90mph he more than likely didn't put the clutch in at the same time.... wouldn't that lockup the driveshaft...moving backward, wouldn't that stop the engine from spinning immediately?
not sure what RPM all this was done, but if you go from 5000rpm to 0 in absolutely no time something's gotta give. Most of the time you would have your foot on the clutch in a situation that you think you are going to lock up (obviously with ABS you don't "lock up").

No clutch work done recently.
Oil filter is a PCX, I'm doubting it would fail but anything is possible.
Scot...I will ask him about locking the wheels and not disengaging the clutch.
