well in the helms manual it says you need to short the SCS curcuit to a body ground with the PGM tester but you can do the same thing by jumping pins 4 and 9. 9 being the SCS circuit and pin 4 is actually a ground. Then follow the same procedures that the manual says to do. Worked like a charm. I have the manual is for 00-03 cover says first edition of 09/02


edit: what I just describe was the "Service Check Signal (SCS) Method" in the helms manual. Theres also the "PGM-Tester Method". So theres 2 ways to clear the code.

That's what I was thinking.
does honda need to clear the code when a new sensor is installed??
I thought you might not have known because of that quote.
