[QUOTE=slipstream444,Oct 8 2004, 11:38 PM] If you drive race cars and/or have a strong grasp of the physics involved (and I'm sure you do), you would agree that his statement (involving clamping force) was false on its face.

Been there done that with those brakes. And i wouldn't recommend them to anyone who is serious about tracking their S2K. They couldn't handle the heat i threw at them and there were nothing but problems from day one.

Ya, I don't think davepk has ever taken his car to the track. He's been to maybe one track day, but I don't think he was even that fast. His car has very few mods anyway.

I run AP 4-pots on my S2000, and I track it regularly. I wouldn't buy those Pinnacles even if it meant the difference between racing and not racing. Not to down talk them, because I'm sure they're a great product for a street car (though the stock brakes are as well), but I use what works. And yes, I do race cars.
And no, it's not the first time. I'm a seasoned pro when it comes to thread hijacks.
Yes, very interesting indeed.
BTW,

BTW,
The Pinnacle calipers are not marketed as Street calipers - talking with several folks who own and track them - nothing but good stuff said. I heard about the sheared bolts mentioned by Dave ... but this has been addressed and says nothing of the calipers.
I ran the tests previously discussed (ad-nausium) to determine how well they worked compared to stock. They did extremely well. I have not had the time to track the car with the new brakes (flying too much) and am anxious to do so.
Please explain your post.
