Default 80w90 or 75w90 synthetic for rear diff fluid?

I found 80w90 gear oil GL5 at walmart..I read that 80w90 is the default oil for the S but it seems like most of the S owners are using 75w90 synthetic..what do you recommend? is the synthetic really necessary for the gear?

Honda recommends SAE 90 GL-5... yes you should run synthetic, a lot of people on here use 75w90 mobil1 and been fine.

Personally i use LE1605

PS:I also run Amsoil 5-30 Syn trans oil too.IMO...much better than the Honda MTF.I've tried many fluids and this is the best for me here in the south.

What exactly are you expecting from this thread? For any fluid question of this type there are countless existing threads with people posting their preferred fluids. It doesn't seem like this thread will be any different.
