Default 8,100 mile UOA Amsoil 10W30

Blackstone Labs used oil analysis for my model year 2002 with 48,200 miles. Amsoil Signature Synthetic 10W30 used for 8,100 miles. Previous interval was just over 6,000 miles. OEM engine air filter and OEM oil filter. 1 quart of oil was added over the course of the interval. This is my daily-driver with an average trip of about 15 miles in a mixture of city/highway driving. I am very pleased with the results and will be trying 10,000 miles on this next interval.

You are looking for low levels of wear and contaminants as well as the proper amount of additives. Plus, the analysis will tell you how well the oil held up at the end of its service life compared to its original properties. Here is a link to a helpful post on BobIsTheOilGuy that might also help:

Those are good numbers.

May I have your permission to re-post the report?

Thanks

Nice report. Thanks for posting.

I agree with Blackstone - you should extend your OCI.
