Hi All,

Just enjoying my new (used 2002) S2000. I noticed that my car sticks to about 4000RPM when I am cruising at 120KM/H. Is that about the right RPM for that speed/gear? I had an RSX Type-S before and it was about 3100RPM. Of course, the S2000 redline is higher so it wouldn't surprise me.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone could confirm that the numbers I provided sound right?

Your speedo and tach are correct. You cannot compare rpm/mph from one car to another. Different engine, different transmission, different final drive.

I have an '03 and I too hit 120 kph @ 4000 rpm in 6th.

and about 100 - 105 kph (depending on the grade of the road i'm travelling on) @ 3500 rpm

your car's fine.
