Default 60mph at 4000 rpm in 6th gear?

i just realized my car is at 4k rpm in 6th gear going only 60 mph.
and my other s2000 when im at 4k rpm im at around 70 mph.

s2k #1 has headers straight pipe greddy exhaust, f22 engine with ap1 tranny and 02 ecu

s2k # 2 ap1 engine and tranny 2001 ecu, all stock.

does this mean there is something wrong with s2k #1?
the previous owner said he never did anything to the ecu or gearing or anything.

Do you have the same size wheels? If not that can maybe have something to do with the different speed.

different sized wheels wouldnt make a difference that big.

Gear calculator is showing 6th gear at 4k RPMs with stock gearing is 75mph and with 4.77 final drive is 65mph, which is right because thats what I have.

Can you hit 60mph in second gear?

Something is obviously different between the 2 cars. Bigger rims alone will not change the speedo reading. It would show the same speed at the same rpm, but you'd actually be going faster than that. Same applies to a changed final drive gear. Something like a yellow box can be put in to adjust the speedo for the different rims. So possibly one of the cars HAD bigger rims and a yellow box, and the latter was not removed.

Car #1 f22(AP2 engine) engine with (AP1) tranny, won't that make the rpm's higher?
As for the speed-o. Dose it take 60 sec. to go one mile? If it does then your speed-o is right on at 60 mph.

No. 4000 RPM is 4000 RPM. They are both AP1 trannys.

hes trying to say go to 60mph and then reset the trip and time a min. if you go a mile in a min then your gearing should be correct with the speedo
