Even though i dont have 75k plus on my 03 i use 10w40 full synthetic high mileage. I burn oil allot cause im in florida too and drive my car in vtec half the time. The oil doesnt burn as fast and i also have a bad/noisy tensioner witch the oil helps as its thicker and doesnt loose its viscosity as bad.

when Honda dealer puts engine oil at your S2000 - does the jas says what kinf of oil is that?

Sadly, my two local stealerships use dino 5-20, because the rest of the Honda fleet use it. Not that I would let them do an oil change on my car.

i had a funny (or typical ) case with the dealer:
- i bought S2000 and have no clue whether dif oil was ever changed. what dif oil you use for S?
- the Honda's one!
- but what what grade it is?
- it's the Honda's one! Honda knows the best what is needed for your car!

- i was told that VTM4 is a no-no for s2000 dif. can you check that you don't use this one?

at this stage i ran out of patience and gave up..........
will get Redline 75W90 and that's it.....

You must have the CRV version. Informed consumer is critical. Every once in a while I get a pro, but typically not.
