It's 2010.
Any 0W/5W/10W-30 will do.

There are enough UOA's available on here that show dino 10W-30 oils shear down into a 20 weight, allthough the latest UOA's show it is getting better.
I've used a true full syn 0W-30 for 12k miles and it came out a 30 weight (at 10 cSt).

IMO there is no need for 40 weight oils in the F20/F22.
There is a video on the main page where they race(!) stock cars until the oil or coolant gets too hot.
The Interga used a 30 weight and stayed the coolest (of the Honda's).

In a rev happy engine (and I guess its safe to say "we" have one - apart from the AP2 owners that is ) you want the oil as thin as possible so more oil - quantity - flows through the engine at those high revs.

In our case "as thin as possible" means a 30 weight.

back-to-top.

Hey man the piston speed is the same... so the oil is doing the same amount of work ap1 or ap2.

There is no real difference to be noted between the two and I think it's over thought. A good synthetic will over the most protection.

anything ending with "30" is going to be the same thickness when its hot and even when 0 is cold its thicker than 30 when 30 is hot

so 0w30 is what you should run

It's 8300 but lets not get into the dick measuring contest. They're the same. Yet different.

Sure your RPM band is a little 'longer', but let's not forget mines a little 'wider'.

In the universe where the AP2 usually dynos 10-20 whp corrected more than an AP1 on dynojets.

What an engineering marvel: increase the displacement by 10% and get 10% more power to the wheels. I wonder how they were able to do it.
