Both times: Test pipe (pretty sure), Mugen ECU, 100 octane gas, Spoon snorkel, JR Filter, Toda flywheel, ACT Stage II clutch, Spoon exhaust, exclude AC from belt, water pump lightweight pulley. IK24 Denso Iridium plugs, gap valves tight, Mobil 1 oil. Hondata intake manifold gasket, insulation in and around stock intake box, ProFlow bored throttle body.

For latest dyno, replaced Mugen with Toda header, added emc's lightweight pulleys. Switched to Neo Synthetic transmission fluid, from 10w-30 Mobil 1 to 5w-30 Mobil 1, added AVBlend to crankcase oil for the heck of it.

Might help explain how my son made it to 115 mph indicated down the stretch at Spring Mountain.

Looks a bit like Toda's dyno plot regarding their header?

those 240 hp and 161 lb of torque are to the wheel? if yes it is a very impresive numbers for a F20C NA engine without touching the engine

This is with Ultimate Lurker's Dynapack chassis dynamometer which attaches to the hubs, wheels/tires having been taken off.

These are good numbers, but this is on a Dynapack, which would probably give a stock '00 about 210-215 RWHP.

Hey Al,

Looks great! On that graph, is the mugen header pulling 229 hp and 148 lb/tq and the plot with the 240 and 161 with Toda header? How much of that do you think was aided by the pulley?

How has the pulley system affected your accessories? Is that a non-issue for you since you track the car or do you still use A/C etc.... Would you recommend the pulley for a street driven car?

Again, great results!

SEVNT4, UL did think they were good numbers, thanks, and I am glad there was no drop in performance. As Gernby added, stock might even be upwards of 215hp. The Mugen header was with the 229hp/148tq results.

With the pulleys, there can be a fair amount of mass spinning at 9000rpm or over, and this can take a bit of energy to do. The lightweight pulleys should have something to do with the increase, and not just the header.

Combined with a lighter flywheel, I find there is a tendency to have to give more gas, more clutch action when getting going from a stoplight, and if one can live with that, I would recommend lightweight pulleys. One can use the aftermarket pulleys with the A/C system.

Wow,
That's a lot of torque. Love that 100 octane.

Those are great numbers regardless. Sounds like you're ready for some 4.44 gears

Sideways, the space race is on! Al is one up on ya. Pull out the big guns already
