My mistake, they made only 500HP on 17 lbs of boost. They were obviously going to boost more, but the fuel pump all of a sudden stopped, and the motor blew. I believe the motor was able to spin to 9800 safely.

That's pretty much it.

I wish there was a way I could easily tag certain files so the search function would quickly pick them up again. I've thought about putting in certain keywords at the bottom of a post and look for that set of words. I have a difficult time finding my OWN threads most of the time!

Anyway, I know I'll eventually be going turbo sometime down the road, so any info I can pick up along the way (compressor size, what has/has not been tried, etc.) is highly useful. I'm just trying to find an excuse to head to Fort Myers (?) for a ride in your mean machine...

Digital, was this your motor? It would be much easier to work with a motor on an engine dyno. What kind of work does it take to setup the motor to work on an engine dyno? What kind of engine dyno was it?

yes this was my motor. the engine dyno was a superflow 901. it takes about half a day to get it up and runninig. its about the same work as installing the motor in a car. but my blown motor is proof that if everything isn't hooked up right shit goes bad. (in my case, the dyno operator and dry sump pump manufactor both point fingers at each other) but an engine dyno does make it a lot easier to tune and work out the kinks.
on another note i also used a engine dyno simulator program to model my motor before we started to order parts to know exactly what i wanted and needed for my power goals. saved me a lot of trial and error experiences.
