Default 4-PT Seatbelt Installation Question

Is it possible to install a 4-point harness in an S2000 without installing a cage? I'd like to have the safety of the 4-point, but I'm not if I have to install a cage. Is there a way of securing the shoulder harnesses without the cage/horizontal bar?

It's possible but not recommended. You're actually safer with the regular belt if you're not running a roll bar.

Here's a thread that I compiled regarding harness installation in an S2000.

Yes, it is not recommended to use a 4, 5, or 6-point harness in an open car without a sufficiently high rollbar. Plus, I'd also advise against a 4-point harness since they generally have poor anti-submarine control.
