I dont know i still want some more info about the 4.77s. I think if i did the 4.77 i would run a S/C not a turbo. i have been told that the 4.77s bring a S/C car to life! So you people with the 4.77s and S/C let us know the good vs the bad. I know it will be like driving in 5th gear on the highway and be about 600rpms higher i think thats right. but all in all is it worth the time and money if im going to run a S/C?

i run 477's with S/C....and i've had 444's before. what is the mystery?, the car accelerates faster with the shorter gears. only if you change the power curve with good midrange would you want longer gearing, ala turbo, otherwise get the 477's, you can always decrease effective gearing with larger diam rear tire..which looks great as it fills up the wheel arches and increases the rake of the car's stance.

I like to drive, on weekens I usually go out of Madrid to other "historical"/old towns in a ratio of 2-2.5 hours of distance, Sometimes I hit 130 mph, but the cruise speed is 110-120.
With an engine with a compression 12.5 (or in your case FI), in a few weeks, I would not like to going at 7000-8000 rpm (4.777) in 6th gear for a 2 hours, your are stressing to much the engine.
I prefer 6000-7000 rpm (4.444) in 6th gear

I've thought about a set of 4.77's but I think they'd ruin the higher end roadability. The 444's will run through gear very quickly. They launch fine but it's hard to hit the sweet spot as nailing the perfect one is really hard to keep from breaking loose and banging the limiter at the launch...4.77's would be really hard...I've hit 13.2 several times now in the quarter...I don't know how much better you'd do with 4.77's as I think there would be an extra shift in there...my best launches are just Under Vtec anything higher and i look like a mustang cobra I just sit an spin. I have 8500 miles on the conversion and have had no mechanical problems at all

buy some kuhmo 225/40-16 tires and slap them on a 4.44 rear end. these tires are 22.5in high and will give u approximate gear reduction to 4.77....AND ALSO LOWER YOUR C.O.G.!!!!!
then do donuts.
