Default To 4.57 owners

I had my gears installed about a month ago.
Did you guys notice big diffrence in performance?
I didnt see a huge diffrence at all, I mean maybe becouse I was breaking the car for 800 miles, and got used to them(4.57s) over time....
Now here is a question, to people that dont have yellow box, Can You tell me what is your spedo showing when for example you're in 4th gear at 4000rpms(or any other gear at any rpms)?
Thanks,
Brad

Try Reverands Garage, go to the bottom and hit the S2000 preselect then change the rear ratio to 4.57.

Things I notice with my 4.57's

1. Easier to get going from a stop.
2. 5th and 6th gears are driveable. They don't lug and are now good passing gears.

You really should consider getting the yellow box. You'll be putting unwanted miles on your car without it.

Get it! I have at least 1000 add'l undriven miles on my S because I didn't install it until later. My read about 7-8 different than actual, but my tire diameter was not quite stock either.

I don't recall being immediately impressed with the gears on the street, however, I do believe they help on the track where acceleration can be evaluated on a cumulative basis.

I think the other side benefit is that they are thicker and stronger than stock. You should have less chance of breaking them.

I dont care that much about the extra miles, the only thing that was worring me was that I didnt feel big diffrence in performance, thats all. I mean RCR that drove my car told me its easier to start the car off the line...but then again comparing my car to his its like comparig civic to nsx, his is SC'ed and he has N2O.........

I wouldn't say it's that much of a difference I saw you pulling on the highway at the day of the pinic. You were moving pretty good.

Did you ever take your car to the drag strip before the mod? One way to get confirmation is to do a 1/4 mile run and see if your times have dropped significantly.
