4.57 gears... what diff fluid do you use?
I searched on this, and didn't find an immediate answer anywhere. Richmond says to use their 75w-140 GL6 synthetic diff fluid.
So I'm curious what fluid those of you with 4.57 gears use or recommend?

I wonder if it makes a difference to use their oil or the le607.
I only wonder, because they suggest their 75w140 weight synthetic.
LE607 is straight 90w
i just dont want these gears to blow up on me because i use the wrong fluid. lol

It is not what Richmond has to say, it is what Honda has to say. It is their diff design, not Richmond's.
I use LE607 in mine and I will not change for anything. I had used Mobil 1 75w-90 before and it too was fine.
But I assume that the Wisconsin in you handle tell us where you live. And the last time I checked, it gets COLD up there. So if you use the S for a daily driver in the wintertime, you might want to consider Mobil 1. If you park it for the Winter, the LE607 is a great option.
But just to reinforce this, it is what Honda says the goes, not Richmond. If you use the installation doc from Richmond, make sure you us the torque specs from Honda and NOT Richmond. Richmond's spec are for Chevy/Ford applications and there is no 10mm spec.

Ok, so even though it's a richmond gear, I should still use everything honda says. Even the torque specs and all? hondamanwill is doing my install, so i'll let him know in case he already doesn't know that.
