tenblade..... when you are cruising at regular speeds like 70-80 on the fwy, approx. how high are the rpms? That was my only concern about going with 4.77's, that it would be a little too high on the fwy since I do a lot of fwy driving. Also, aprox. how fast in mph at the end of 1st and 2nd are you going?

There is a thread that already has all those questions answered via a rpm/gear calculator.
at 85mph, I am at 5300 rpm, 4600-4700 for 75 (both in 6th gear). I also do a lot of hwy driving, and I have a single outlet exhaust..... no problems nor complaints.

It doesn't matter how much power you have before the gear swap, it will be a 16% adjustment with 4.77s. Honestly, the 4.77s did feel a bit like the SC'ed S2000, but I wasn't impressed by the SC either.
Before I installed the gears, I was concerned about highway driving too, especially since my previous car was a Lincoln Mark VIII. When I bought my S2000, I was rather bothered by how high it reved on the highway, even though it was stock. It didn't take long for me to get used to it, and it took even less time to get used to the 4.77s. Actually, there are times now that I forget to put it in 6th while cruising down the highway. Highway driving is actually the time that I enjoy the 4.77s most, since 6th has good response, and 5th is now a "power gear". I really wish I had gotten the 5.1s.
