Default 4-2-1 Header Vs 4-1 Header

Hey is there any advantages between the 4-2-1 headers and the 4-1 headers. Ive been thinkin about going with the comptech header 4-1, heard it gave more power in the top end then 4-2-1. Let me know.

You are correct. The 4-2-1, traditionally called a TRi-Y header, is for mid-range and top end power, while the 4 into 1 setup is for top end mainly. This is due to the scavenging effect of the collector used in a 4-1 setup. But, to scavenge well, it requires high exhaust velocities, so you need high rpms to see its benefits.

as long as Rick's numbers are good, you gained power and you also moved where you make the most power. It's possible that you actually lost low rpm power but you gained it at the top.
