37K 2005 S2K TRANNY FAILURE AFTER CC INSTALL
Hi everyone, just wanted to hear from you guys if what happen to me was normal, which i doubt.
I installed a competition clutch stage 4 on my S and drove it for about 570 miles.
I tried to shifted at 8k from 1st to 2nd it felt like i couldn't, it was very hard for the gear to go in, the rpms had to go down to 6k in order for the gear to go in, and it happens to all gears at high rpms.
My mechanic then told me that the pedal needed some adjustment, and it work it was back to normal ......but, after a couple of 2nd gear power shifts the tranny gave out.
I thought it was the differential but it wasn't. when its put in 1st gear and let go of the clutch you can hear a crackling noise from the transmission.
The car is an 05 s2k with 37k miles i was using Nitto NT-05 which they grip awesome, which we think it had too much grip and it broke the gears
They are working on my car to see what happen I'll keep you posted.

No i wasn't the original owner, i got it with 27k, more than a year ago......
the car really seamed strong.......i got it on a dyno and i got 210 hp.....and 235 with the AEM EMS.....
but this happen without the AEM EMS i had the stock ECU when this happen
Since i am probably gonna rebuilt the tranny I might cryo treat all gears and pray it will last longer

It had to of been abused, there is no other reason that the trans would give out before the diff. It's possible you just lost 2 gears, did you try all the other gears? All it says in your description is a crackling noise in first gear.

why were u powershifting in the first place?
I know stuff is gonna break .... I just except it and fix it
The reason i posted in the first place was because it seemed rare to me that a 37k transmission will go out like that......I have read that they last up to 500 hp....but i guess with a different type of abuse, like road race not drag race.......
Why are you using a stage 4 clutch anyways?
I appreciate everyone's feedback I will post up some pictures to see the damage
I will keep you guys posted.......
