Default 30,000 Mileage Maintenance Check-up

First, i must say this forum is awesome! So much information. So many fanatics. I recently became the owner of a MY01 Silverstone Metallic S2K. Right now it has about 32,000 miles on it and the maintenance light recently came on. Although I am a car fanatic, frankly, I don't know much about the engine and whatnot. I was planning on going into a Honda and Acura specialist (http://www.avondalehonda.com/) to get the maintenance done. I was wondering if I should ask them to use better engine oils and stuff, but i wouldn't know. I honestly don't really know what they will be doing during the maintenance check-up. I want the best for my car and have the best results. There was a big post about 90w differential oil and certain air filters and stuff. I was wondering if I should get all that stuff changed while they're at it.

INPUTS PLEASE! HELP A FELLOW S2K OWNER/FANATIC OUT! THANK YOU

Congrats on th car and if it were me since I have not had good experiences at my local dealerships in regards to maintenence, I change all of my own fluids and yes, I would change them all for the piece of mind - it really isn't difficult!
I changed my diff, transmission and engine fluids in one afternoon and I used the search button on this site and printed all relevant information.
We have some helpful people like Roadrage, Who is the lubrication mossiah and Xviper who has posted many DIY threads including fluid changes - do a search on these guys and you will find out what you need to do it yourself or get the proper fluids - I highly advise you to do your research on your fluids - it has been noted that many dealership has put in the wrong gear fluids - most dealerships will alow you to bring in your own fluids if you don't want to do it yourself! also, your manual will tell you how to reset your maintence light!

To help you along your way, here are two threads that have links to other information that will be of great help to you:

Since you have just acquired a pre-owned S2000, I would suggest that you take a look at the maintenance portion of the owner's manual and go through everything that should be done and should have been done up to this present age and mileage of your car. You may as well start fresh.
Many of these things you can do yourself as they are only "inspections". If you can do some of the fluid changes on your own, even better. However, if you must take it to the dealer to have it done, make a list of ONLY those things you want them to do and get a price quote. If you just hand them the car and say, "Do the 30K miles service", they will charge you the "book rate" for it and this can be an eye opener.
After having checked out those links I gave you, then decide for yourself which fluids you really want to use and supply them to the dealer if you are not doing the work yourself. The BIGGEST single mistake that dealers make is putting in the WRONG diff fluid. Make sure they are on top of this.
At this stage in your car's life, you might look into things that your manual does not specifically address. Don't have that info off the top of my head, but make sure it includes these:
engine oil/filter - about 5.5 qts. - dino or synthetic (your choice).
tranny fluid - suggest Honda MTF.
diff fluid - suggest Mobil 1 75W90 GL-5 (but there are other good ones too).
at least check engine coolant for level and quality.
flush and change brake and clutch fluid.
engine air filter check.
A/C air filter check.
have a look at the serpentine belt condition.
check all rubber boots under the car.
check all ball joints and suspension for any unusual looseness.
throw in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner for good measure.

You have an '01. See if the spark plug recall has been done on it. This involves a new type of plug with a revised torque setting.
How do the brakes feel? Maybe have a look at the pad thickness. A/C work OK? Maybe it needs more refrigerant.
