Curious what people are paying for 30,000 mi service on their s2000?

I see from the owners manual that it takes oil & filter, air filter, cabin filter, rear diff fluid, replace brake fluid ... in addition to the usual checklist. My dealer also suggest change transmission fluid (which I did already at 15,000 miles), and also adjust the valves (which I havent done yet). Does this make sense?

Anything else I should be thinking about?

I dont really have the time or inclination to do these things myself. I have got quotes in the $450 ~ 550 range.

i dont say valve adjust until 30k miles and an alignment either 1 year or 15k mi

i dont know why they told you 15k for tranny and valve adjust

i do everything myself besides the valve adjust tranny and diff fluid are really easy to change

I've been told by them it is 'recommended' change the trans fluid every 15,000 miles. Seems quite a few people do that. Am I incorrect?

They suggested I adj valves at 30,000 (not 15,000).

Too much. It's a MASSIVE rip-off IMNSHO.

This is probably a decent price for the services you listed performed by the dealer. However, I'd rather do it myself and KNOW it's done right.

The transmission benefits GREATLY from frequent fluid changes. Every 10K wouldn't hurt.

I change my tranny and diff fluid annually.

I'm at 38k now and I'll be replacing the spark plugs and adjusting the valves this week for the first time. Even though they are required until 105k, it definitely will not hurt to do them now.

Unless you are really hard on your brakes I see no need to flush the brake fluid. At 38k mine still feel and stop just as good as they did when new.

The manual says change the brake fluid every 3 yrs, regardless of mileage. It's been 3 yrs for me, so I requested it ....

After three years, regardless of mileage, the brake fluid will have absorbed enough water to significantly lower the boiling point.

I suppose you are saying ... that the manual is correct in recommending a change in brake fluid at 3yrs ... right? I think it cost like $75 or so to have it done.

$200, and they don't do anything, call your area Honda Dealer, they check lubrication and do nothing, not spark plug changes, juct lubes that you can do yourself....

Maybe they'll find a problem and change you for it later... LOL. I did the service myself. Just reset that service light at home.
