Default 3-bolt gasket required for HFC?

Hi all -- I just installed a used Berk HFC, and since it didn't come with a new 3 bolt gasket I simply installed as-is.

Obviously the goal of a gasket is to achieve a tighter seal, but as long as the faces match up like a stock cat would, would it honestly make any difference considering the factory didn't put one there?

You will be a-ok

If you're super crazy about it throw some copper rtv sealant on there to help it seal better
