3 alternators, 2 batteries, new starter, new tensioner....still can't charge the battery
I know its bad when I consider a stealership but my car has this issue where it the alternator won't charge the battery nor run the car on its own power....every suggestion I've tried has failed badly....
Even took it to another auto repair chain shop...got told bad alternator after electrical diag test...3rd new alternator did not solve the problem so either I'm incredibly unlucky or something cable related is my guess.
Perhaps a loose ground or sliced alternator cable?
How easy is it to replace the alternator cables?
Any ideas? My car has been a garage queen for months now because I can't even drive it.....
List of new parts:
New starter fuses
Repaired any fractured/exposed/damaged electrical cables, sprayed dexoit electrical contact cleaner on any electrical contact points to remove corrosion.
Engine ground points are tight...last I checked.
New belt tensioner pulley.
New alternator (3rd)
New belt for tensioner
New battery(third!)
Improved clamps/new screws for battery terminal clamps ...super tight.
Replaced starter ignition button
Everything else about the car is 100% fine...runs like a champ....just can't hold a charge or create it.

the year would help. but the black, bk w/yellow and white w/blue wires should all have battery voltage 12v. you also need to check the 2 wires that go to the pcm for opens or shorts. could also be your pcm itself if everything checks out
