OP, No one else has mentioned it directly and you mentioned no oversize OEM pistons so maybe you don't know that the stock block can't just be bored. It must be sleeved.

Yeah I should go around and ask for more opinions... I have no idea why reconditioners cost so much here... We have about 6-8 main engine reconditioners here in Auckland but they all seem to charge an hourly rate...
And yeah I know we have to sleeve our blocks, something to do with our FRM liners or something?
