2nd gen Spoon air filter

Stick with Wix or Honda air filters. I put 90,000 miles on my Wix air filter and even with all those miles the air filter made no restriction on my restriction gauge. I went with a Honda filter when I changed the Wix out.

For example, every japanese motorcycle i worked on has the rubber tube connectors between carburetors and airbox formed as velocitiy stacks inside the airbox. Even my VW Golf MK III has a all piping in the airbox formed as velocity stacks. So this is, in my opinion, not a noteworthy detail it is just a important absolutely basic design feature for every engine.
In contrast, it makes you wonder about the "Quality" and "Performance" of some aftermarket tuning air filters when they dont have a velocity stack inlet inside.
Here is a nice, old picture i found:

The design of velocitiy stacks is very important, and the positive effects are very well known since.... the 1950s?
