2nd gear trouble. tranny or clutch?
before the engine gets warms up, when i hit 50mph (guessing around 5k-6k rpm) on second gear the car stops accelerating and throws my body forward (as if i'm engine breaking). i didn't hear any grinds and the lever didn't pop out of it's position. this is the third time it happened.
i've also noticed that after the car has been warmed up for maybe 20 mins, the problem disappears.
does anyone know what happening here?

Its the stupid-limiter.
You answered your own question..! Its to prevent you from damaging your car, at the higher RPMs if the engine isnt fully warmed, it can damage it.
To be honest though, I didn't know it had that function when I purchased mine too .
Dont worry about damage, its to prevent it.
Since you're asking these questions...I suggest reading the stickies, it has a REALLY REALLY good FAQ/Info for new owners. It can and most likely WILL save your car from damage.

And heres the really helpful link:

At the very least, skim through all of the FAQ's stickied in the sub-sections. They're super helpful in EVERYTHING.
also, check your oil regularly, use the lower oil level to determine proper fill. Check while warm, but after its been sitting for a while (not immediately after engine shut-off)

ooo ok. thanks guys
1) Check oil regularly, especially until you know how much your car consumes - it varies from 0 qt per 3K to over 1qt for 1K miles.
2) Check tire pressures regularly...even a few PSI will pwn you in the rain
3) dont let tread get low, especially in the rear....
4) throttle off oversteer is INSANE in this car if you're not ready for it.
^Lots of noobs get owned by these...I admit I got pwnd with letting my tread get low, I almost got owned from throttle off oversteer.
