2nd gear grind?

2nd gear grind?
What's the best advice for solving the gear grind from shifting from 1st to 2nd (MY 00)? I know i'm fully depressing the clutch while shifting, yet if i shift from 1-2nd gear at 4,000rpm or higher i get gear grind. I don't have any other grinds other than 1-2 and it really sucks not being able to take 1st into vtec and shift cleanly.
My warranty has expired and i'm curious if Honda will do this TSB fix https://www.s2ki.com/stor/library/TSB/A00-055/index.htm out of "good will" as they stated.
Please don't post on how to hold/use/grip the short shifter...I have tried A LOT of different grips on the shifter and it's the same outcome. The only way i'm able to shift 1-2 at 7000-8000rpm is by SLOWLY depressing clutch and shifting -- so much delay that i usually bog into 2nd gear
p.s. Does anyone know how much this TSB repair usually costs if not covered by Honda?
Thanks in advance

flush your clutch fluid if you haven't done that in a while.. if that doesn't work, adjust your clutch pedal.. (well, not the clutch pedal, but adjust how deep the shaft goes into the cylinder..) do a search and you'll know what i'm talkin about.. Adjusting the shaft on mine (shaft went inward just a tad) improved the shift.. )
