2nd gear
I've had 2nd gear grind ever since I purchased the car (02) but now itz starting to really go. I have near 40000 miles on my car and since two days ago the 2nd gear would grind constantly (3 out of 4 times). I've tried easing the clutch, making sure the shifter engagement is done from the correct angle, and bunch of other crap. I'm going to take the tranny apart but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Anyone have similar issue that they went through?

just replace the 2nd gear set. as old as the car is, you may end up with all new gears. ill be doing my 2nd gear here in a few weeks. you should have seen my last set of gears. 
sliders are always wasted. thats why your havin trouble. later dave
