Default The 2nd 100k miles

As I approach 100k miles with my 01 I was wondering what maintenance needs to be done for the next 100k and when?

Are there any issues that people have come across after 100k that are worth checking for?

Any valve adjustment needed? Is this something I can check or should I have Honda check it?

Timing chain? Does it need to be replaced or adjusted?

This is the first car I have taken over 100k, so any generic info would be appreciated as well

Also, anyone know how to solve the "o crap, how do I keep the S when I'll be having a kid in the next few years?"

Thanks

I have an 01 that ive taken to 107k so far, Id definitely do a valve adjustment, and coolant flush... as for your last question, do what me and my wife plan to do when that time comes, get a 3rd car.

Take care of her and she should last you a long time.

171K on my 06.

Things beyond the normal:
Valve adjustment should be done every 50K after the first one. I've had mine go out of spec quick.
My transmission is still smooth, Honda MTF2 but at 15K interval.
Keep an eye on that clutch master cylinder, change fluid frequently, had mine go out.
Clean your throttle plate.

Other than that the car runs like a champ, strong like the first day I got her.

But at the age of your car you have some more things to consider like inspecting hoses and coolant change out. Etc.

I'm now entering the phase of condition monitoring, oil analysis and cutting open filters.

Edit: Forgot to add, surprised my suspension still feels good. May not be as good as new but nothing noticable for me to replace it yet.

My 02 has 185K miles on it and still running strong. I know that I need to change the clutch because it does not grab strong like I would expect.

Everything mentioned above is what I do except for the oil analysis... As I dont know how to do that.

for a second there i thought i had the highest miles on an 06 lol! 171 def beats me! im at 99k right now and the car is still strong, i changed the master & slave, did a valve adjustment and replaced the clutch. Im not liking the clutch so im redoing that and i think my shocks are getting bad due to lowering springs. other than that car is in a great shape
