240SX Differential Swap
I've found a Nissan 240 SX differential for $80. Does anyone know if this would be a good candidate for a 500 HP Turbo S2000? I know that some modifications to the mount will be required, but thats no problem. My question is can it take the power?

Check for a orange sticker on the housing body. If it's got the sticker, it's got the VLSD. Otherwise it's a open diff. You dont know what year and model 240sx it's coming from do you?
The diffs are fine for about 450whp with some beating. The units are usually so high in mileage though that the VLSD's are extremely worn and dont function properly.

Thanks for the info. For now, I've decided to go with a 2004 S2000 diffy which I just ordered from Hardtopguy. When I get I take it apart and send all the ferrous parts to http://www.evansperformance.com/ to have them cryo-rem treated. Also will be getting some 600 + rated axles made by these guys: http://www.driveshaftshop.com/index2.ivnu
