I'm looking to go back to a stock exhaust. Will a ap2 2006 stock cat back exhaust fit on my ap1. If not what is different and what has to be moded ti fit?

It will fit but it looks stupid the tips on the exhaust just look out of place against the AP1 rear bumper

I know the rear hangers are different. I'm not sure if all AP2 or only 06+, but the hangers on the rear mufflers use 3 holes (triangle shape rubber piece because mufflers have dual prongs) instead of 2. There may be a minor difference how far the tips stick out, you can change the tips to AP1 if you think its a better look.

Car Analogy

It will fit. You will need to use the AP1 tips to maintain the look, and the amount it sticks out from bumber is a little different. You will also probably need to use the AP1 rubber hangers. But it will bolt up and fit.

The resonator on 06+ is oval, instead of round, but it will still work. The AP2 hangers are stronger, since they have 2 braces instead of one, but the location is the same.

I have an 06, and PO hacked up the stock exhaust, so now I have an AP1 Cat and an older AP2 Cat back, and it all bolts up and works. Fitting a newer system to an older car will be just as easy.
