2004-2005 Honda 2.2L short block discontinued
#31
About boring/sleeving....
The FRM cylinder (Fiber reinforced metal) can be bored .025, and still retain the FRM coating.
The big catch is this...my cost on the 4 Honda .025 oversized pistons is $880 (4 pistons, 4 ring sets). It gets very costly to repair, hence why I have a stack of blocks with scored cyls.

I do think there's nothing like a fresh OEM Honda block, but should the 2.2L block be unavailable down the road, hopefully there'll be other alternatives besides these pricey oem pistons or sleeving. I guess if you can afford ~$3k for a fresh shortblock and don't mind it sitting around for a while it's not a bad deal, especially if you factor in the cost of resleeving and rebuilding an OEM block will likely cost close to a new fresh oem block.
